When chemistry meets climate change, the results can be revolutionary! Fresh grad Hermann Klein-Hessling '20 recently got his research published in The Journal of Emerging Investigators (JEI) – a peer-reviewed journal run by Harvard graduate students. What an honour!
Titled, ‘Banana-based biofuels for combating climate change: How the composition of enzyme catalysed solutions affects biofuel yield’, Herman's interest in biofuel was sparked as a result of a Service trip to a small rural town in Indonesia when he was 12 years old. Read the full details in the article here!

Hermann intends to major in Chemical Engineering with a focus on sustainable and humanitarian engineering. All the best on his journey in combating climate change!
