UWCSEA alumna Ros Wynne-Jones was invited to speak at the Dover Class of 2018 graduation ceremony on 19 May 2018. She is a journalist and author who has had articles published in BBC, The Guardian and The Mirror just to name a few. She has written a novel titled - Something is going to fall like rain - an insight to her time in South Sudan as the nation gained independence. Ros has reported from numerous war zones from around the world and is currently a Senior Feature Writer for UK newspaper, Daily Mirror writing pieces on politics and poverty.

May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.” Ros quotes Nelson Mandela in her speech to the Dover graduates. “I’m here to tell you that hope is the right choice; this is what your UWC training has been about.”

Many thanks for making the trip back to Singapore, Ros and for passing your inspiring words on to the graduating class.
