Great opportunity for UWC and recent alumni from Latin America and Caribbean Countries, 15-19 March 2012.
Dear UWC alumni,
A UWC alumnus working at the Inter-America Development Bank (IDB) has just informed UWCIO of an exciting opportunity for young people to attend the IDB’s annual meeting and take part in a youth initiative which takes place from March 15 to 19 in Montevideo, Uruguay in partnership with The Youth Development and Outreach Program (IDB Youth) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Government of Uruguay, MTV Latin America, Pepsi Company from the Southern Cone, and other local partners.
"Fourteen youth agents of change will be selected to attend the Annual Meeting activities and a day fully devoted to highlighting the key role young people play in the development process.”
The initiative is open to young people from IBD borrowing member countries: (Group I countries) Argentina, the Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela(Group II countries) Belize, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Suriname.
Applicants need to be aged 18-28.
The IDB will pay airfare, hotel/accommodation, local transport and food.
