Conrad Manning, Class of 2011, who attended UWCSEA in the elementary grades, is planning in August 2011, to depart from England and sail solo and non-stop, around the world. He says that this will involve sailing no less than 21,600 nautical miles, setting the record of being the fastest teenager, in under five months. Conrad is 16 years old and says that he has been in and around boats his entire life. It has long been an ambition of his to attempt this record, and he feels that he is now ready to embark upon its completion.
