Read about a Cambodian Community evicted from their home
Thursday, 26 February 2009
Current students held a focus week, 2-6 March, to raise awareness and funds to support the Dey Krahorm community in Phnom Penh, Cambodia who were evicted from their homes in January. Dey Krahorm is a community supported by the Kids in Cambodia Global Concern and visited by UWCSEA students, staff and parents as well as Gap Year students who have taught at the Aziza Schoolhouse there. Students now must travel up to 20km to attend school from where they have been relocated. Funds raised will support transportation costs for the students as well as a meal each day.
