Kalahari Cocktails, Friday, 5 March -

Each year UWCSEA students join those from two Australian schools and Frankfurt International School to teach for two weeks at a remote school in the Moshewang Valley of the Kalahari Desert. This contribution has dramatically lifted the pass rates of the final year students, providing them with scholarships and a way out of their isolated desert existence. Come to our Kocktail party and join the South African Ambassador in an effort to reach out to these, some of the poorest of his country’s citizens. For tickets ($50 each) contact the alumni office (alumni@uwcsea.edu.sg). Funds raised will help to purchase a school bus for this remote group of learners. |
