PE Assistant (Dover Campus)
Job Responsibilities
Maintenance of all sports areas in the college to include (but not limited to) sports halls, gymnastic centre, fitness centre, swimming pools, artificial turf pitch, climbing walls;
Prepare facilities for lessons, coaching and tournament purposes eg. setting up and clearing sports equipment, lane lines and swimming aids, ropes and helmets, tentage, PA systems, seating, gymnastic centre.
Maintain proper storage and working condition of outdoor/indoor sports equipment
Issuance and return of equipment to coaches and teaching staff
Oversee the overall cleanliness of all sports facilities
Work with PE staff as a teaching assistant as required
Job Requirements
Minimum GCE ‘N’ Levels and at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a sports facilities environment
General interest in sports
Fit for a physically demanding job that may entail lifting and manoeuvring heavy equipment
Able to withstand long working hours under the sun
Able to work during weekends and evenings when needed
Involvement in competitive gymnastics operations or coaching would be advantageous
Team player with positive working attitude
Good interpersonal and communication skills
